Feel into the phases of the Moon and go with the flow
I’ve been intrigued by the Moon since I was a child, I loved to watch the moon in the sky; I still do. I love the Moon at night and when you can see it in the sky during the day, too.
My Mom still comments about how badly I slept around the full Moon. I also sleep walked around the time of full Moon. To this day, I sleep poorly before the Full Moon. I can sense the build up of energy, and it makes me restless in the night.
Driving or shopping, or generally being around people during the full Moon shows me that I am not the only one influenced by the Moon. So many people have much less patience around the full Moon. More accidents happen. It’s a proven fact.
Do you feel it, too?
I have started to really observe the energies around the Moon cycles during the last couple of years and learnt to adjust my life around the phases of the Moon. For me, this means going with the flow instead of against it.
Why not hop on the wave of energy coming in from the Moon, rather than swimming against the tide? Why make your life harder, when you can enjoy it so much more?
I have learnt so much about the ebb and flow of lunar energy and love to go with the Moon phases.
I love the Moon and all its phases.
There are 4 main phases the Moon goes through:
- New Moon
- Waxing Moon
- Full Moon
- Waning Moon
Let’s have a look at each of the phases and see how we can live closer with the Moon cycles in our lives.
You know that the moon influences the seas and oceans, providing their ebb and flow. You also know that your body consists of 65% of water, right?
Did you ever wonder why the moon has a huge influence on us too? It could be related to our internal water contents.
The New Moon is the beginning of a new cycle. It is like a starting point.
Like being newly born, the moon starts to grow. The energy of this time in the cycle is like the Spring of the Seasons. Things start to bloom and grow. It’s a fresh start.
This is a good phase to expand your dreams, to let things grow in our lives, too.
During the New Moon, you can:
- Create new projects
- Start new things
- Be in a creative and active mode.
During this phase, we are under the still growing Moon; however, this phase feels more like Summer than Spring.
This is still a good phase to expand, but it’s also time to observe the growth that is happening.
Things are coming to fruition as the Moon cycles towards the full Moon phase.
This is a time for completion.
The Full Moon is mid-cycle and time to release. Things come to completion. Your projects bear fruits.
This feels much like Autumn.
This is a good time to de-clutter, letting go of what no longer serves us.
It’s time to wrap up, finish up, and close projects, relationships, energetic expenditures.
It’s time to reap rewards and harvest,
prepare for winter,
calm things down.
During the Waning Moon, we are still in the releasing phase and the energy encourages us to just let go of anything that no longer serves us. Thoughts and pain might come up to the surface, so you know it is time to acknowledge them and let them go.
This is like Winter: a time to deeply heal and relax.
You might feel more tired, less motivated to do anything.
It’s time to nourish yourself,
grow some seeds inside your soul,
rest before the new beginnings after the New Moon.
