Our adventure brought us from Chicago to San Francisco then down to Los Angels and then to Sedona in Arizona, a spiritual hotspot. I enjoyed part 2 of our deeply healing journey very much.

Let It All In

Welcome back to the insights of my deeply healing journey around the United States of America

If you missed the beginning of our trip, you can read it here:

Deeply Healing Journey Part 1

Enjoy the continuation of the journey:

Chicago

Welcome to the Windy City! We enjoyed our visit and meeting up with friends from Zurich.

I loved the beach at Lake Michigan and the feel of this great city. I loved visiting it 13 years ago and was happy to come back again. Chicago is special to me, and I feel a kind of freedom there.

Make your own rules, is what I was reminded in this city. We do not always have to follow others rules (of course, we all follow the rule of not harming anybody and be friendly to thy neighbor, as well as being good role models and citizen of this planet earth).

The Chicago feeling got me thinking about how much I still attempt to please people around me, and how reluctant I am to put up my own boundaries and rules.

It was time to grow and really look deep within: what are my values, and how can I follow up on them, as well as working to release old family rules and patterns.

It is OK to live outside of boundaries. It is ok to set yourself free. We often hold ourselves back by putting up boundaries or imaginary fences. I ought not to do this. Because why not? Why not try new things, why not expand beyond my boundaries?

toe dip in lake Michigan

My kids loved the Science Museum and Lake Michigan. They wanted to have a swim, till they dipped their toes in and realized how cold the water was. They also loved the tilt (30 degrees tilting down over the city of Chicago) on the Observation Deck in the Hancock Tower (and Mom chickened out of it 😉 )

I loved the area around the lake and just being in this great city.

San Francisco

Coming from hot New York, DC and Chicago into San Francisco had us shivering.

I was reminded that the coldest winter I experienced was the summer I spent in San Francisco (a quote origin a discussion)

I so loved spending time with my godson and his family, Long time friends are a treasure and time spent together is amazing.

Family counts, not only my three kids but also expanded family.

True friends nourish the soul. There never is any ice to break between you, and they know your story, as they’ve been with you for decades. They accept you as you are and always have an encouraging word for you, and a soul-embracing hug. I so treasured spending time with my lovely friends in San Francisco.

Golden Gate

However, sometimes kids fight, and after being together for 2 weeks, emotions got a bit tense. We all realized being on top of each other for 24/7 can be challenging. There is hardly any space in hotel rooms and on tours, and we all grow tired of being surrounded and are in desperate need of alone time.

Spending 6 days in San Francisco was great, and we really got to see a lot there.

My kids loved the Science Academy, Planetarium, and Catherine loved shopping with Auntie T.

I loved the Japanese Tea Garden, Sausalito, the Glass Beach, and seeing long time friends and their embraces, as well as hugging my wonderful godson.

Los Angeles

We traveled south to LA and we found inspiration there.

Follow your dreams was one of my first messages from Hollywood. It is so worth following up on your dreams and allowing yourself to dream big.

Be your own star. We are all Stars. It is time for you to sparkle and shine, and feel into your star being and what it means for you – that was the message I was getting in LA.

Feature in your own movie, lead your life and create your own movie. Make your life real and follow up on your own version. Dream your own dreams.

Hollywood

Be true to yourself and step up into your awesome being. Take deep breaths and allow it all in. No need to copy someone else, just be yourself.

Despite the fact that my daughter Catherine was in her favorite spot, she had huge issues with her younger brother, Horatio. The younger two siblings were becoming more and more agitated towards each other. I felt some built up frustration boiling over.

So I had to step in-between them a lot, deciding when to let it go, and also attend to my own need for peace and quiet among the kids’ harsh energies.

Staying centered, cutting my cords, and shielding myself with pink light helped me along. I also cut the cords and used pink loving energy on all three of my kids so they were able to be more themselves and stay centered too.

Enjoy the video explaining and showing you, how you can cut the cords and pour pink loving light around you or a loved one:

Being on top of each other 24/7 brings out the worst in everyone. Being tired and hungry does not help either.

I was reminded of my friend telling me that traveling with teenagers is like traveling with babies – when they are hungry or tired they become grumpy. Amen to that. 😉

What my kids loved best: Catherine, EVERYTHING; boys Santa Monica Pier.

I loved The Walk of Fame and the Hollywood sign, as well as walking along the beaches, and as always enjoying fresh seafood.

Sedona

Finally, a first for me. I have never been to Sedona before and was really looking forward to the spiritual place and sensing into the Energies.

However, we had to get up really early for all of our city changes, which did not help to improve the moods of my kids. 😉

I so loved to see the Grand Canyon! What an amazing view and colours. I am deeply humbled by nature and loved to feel the energy of Mother Earth.

After all the city energies, it was refreshing to really feel the spiritual hotspot energies of Sedona and enjoy a calmer pace.

What to do when you do not feel what you were expecting, or if the feeling does not meet your expectations? I was wondering this for a while, as my expectations for Sedona were very high. Instead of worrying about it, I let go of expectations and allowed myself to just experience it all, allowing myself to feel what I felt, even if I felt differently to others. I learnt to trust my own voice and just breathed it all in.

VOrtex

On the Vortex Tour to all the sacred places around Sedona, I felt deeply grounded like never before. This was such an amazing experience, and I was in awe of it all. Of course, that was on a male vortex, a.k.a. time to embrace my male energies more.

I felt alive and purified and centered, and just in awe of the red stones around us.

I learnt more about Balancing male and female energies, and really about allowing myself to receive as much as I give.

Catherine loves green smoothies and had one each morning, so I set my intention on creating them at home, thus supporting her wish for healthy food.

Sedona was awesome and in so many ways more than I could have ever expected.

What my kids loved: the Grand Canyon and the pool in the hotel 😉

What I loved: feeling grounded, breathing it all in, getting inspired as well as the red rocks, amazing nature, and – of course – being able to visit the Grand Canyon

I loved sharing the second part of our journey with you! Stay tuned to read on about the last part of our adventure and what I learnt from it all.

Next week, I will be sharing the third and last part of our journey.

The Story Behind My Logo https://archive.palmyhealing.com/the-story-behind-my-logo/ https://archive.palmyhealing.com/the-story-behind-my-logo/#respond Thu, 24 Sep 2015 05:18:17 +0000 http://palmyhealing.com/?p=12583

How did I choose my Logo, what is the story behind my logo? Enjoy the behind the scenes, and the note from the artist and my friend Lizi.

The post The Story Behind My Logo appeared first on Palmy Healing Archives.

]]>

Have you seen my logo? It’s the healing hands holding a heart.

Palmy Healing

*Logo of Palmy Healing by Artist Lizi Hill

The Story of my Logo

Many people have asked how I came up with it. Let me tell you The Story of my Logo, which was painted by my friend, Lizi Hill.

When I created Palmy Healing, I knew that healing the heart is the key to healing everything. Palmy is my surname, my maiden name, the name I went back to after my divorce.

I’d been learning about self-acceptance and self-love since my marriage broke up at the end of 2008. I knew how important self-love was.

I also knew that only an open heart – a heart back in the flow of love – can heal. Once you are back in the flow of love with a beautiful open heart, your body can start healing too.

“If you have anything in your heart other than love, you’ve got to get it out.” —Wayne Dyer

I am a heart-based person – very much so. It might come with being an Empath. I love everything heart based. I even use the <3 (Heart Emoticon) a lot on Facebook.

So, the heart is the center of my being. I love a vibrating heart, full of love and in the flow.

The hands are very healing. During my Pranic Healing Training, I learnt all about the hand chakras, and how to cleanse and apply healing coloured Prana (called Chi in Chinese).

Also after going back to my maiden name I realized I had the word palm in my maiden name Palmy, so that was a clear sign from the Universe for me to use that word as a part of my business’s name.

I love to hug people and cradle animals. Small animals can be cradled in the palm of our hands. Hugs are so healing and so heartwarming.

When I closed my eyes and meditated on the name of my business, I saw my hands gently cradling the hearts of my clients and sending the healing green light associated with Archangel Raphael to my clients. I remembered how my hands vibrated with the loving healing energy from Archangel Raphael when he showed me how to assist my coughing daughter.

I knew the heart used in my logo should be bright, pulsating, and pink (one of my favorite colours) and the hands should spread loving greenish turquoise healing light and love.

I did a sketch of what I wanted, but I am not much of an artist. My daughter had no time to paint the picture, as she is busy with school, so I asked my lovely friend Lizi.

Lizi and I met in 2005 when she moved to Switzerland, and we had such a fabulous time together. Nowadays, she lives on Jersey Island, but with Skype, it is like she lives next door.

*Lizi and I catching up over a cup of coffee early September 2015

She was happy to do my logo for me, as she is also an angel lover and a gifted artist. For me, it was important that the person who drew my logo understood energies, was in the flow, and loved art and my work.

Lizi asked me to take a picture of my hands, holding them like I wanted to see on the logo, so she could paint from that photo.

What a brilliant idea! The hands you see on my logo are mine, beautifully painted by my friend, Lizi.

She also chose some special watercolour ink colours, so they would be shinier.

It took us a little back and forth to settle on the end picture. She had her ideas, I had my ideas, and we found some good common ground.

Visions we shared about the logo were: making the green energy flow to the heart, coming out of the palms of my hand and having the heart seem like it was pulsating in the healing flow.

Lizi used salt to dry the colour, so it really got the look as it if was pulsating.

Finally, the logo was ready. I was thrilled with it, and best of all, Lizi gifted me the original for my birthday! She gave it to me in a nice frame, ready to be hung in my studio. (If you ever watched one of my videos or Periscope sessions, you’ve probably seen the original hanging behind me.)

This was my side of the story, now I let Lizi share hers:

*Lizi Hill’s Art

Thank you Caroline for your beautiful introduction.

Most of all I love creating for a purpose and it was such a privilege to design your logo with you. The whole image was also beautiful when it was inverted as I had ideas for green healing colours looking at the colours seen in crystals. I am delighted that the hands on your logo are truly yours.

Drawing is something I do from my heart and soul. Everything I create is done with passion and love. Most recently I’ve been welding stainless steel to create an installation called ‘A still point in a turning world’. It was recently hung next to Damien Hirst’s work in an international gallery. I love drawing with pencil, paint, light, porcelain and metal.

At the moment I am developing a website so please contact me if you would like to see images or have design enquiries: swisslizi@gmail.com

I hope you enjoyed the behind the scenes story of my logo, what it means, and how it came to be.

“Love and Healing” is my motto.

Wishing you all a beautiful week filled with love.

Be in the flow.

Warm hugs,

Caroline

PS: Next week, I will share my personal story on how fear has struck again, and what has helped me.

I hold a Bi-lingual Workshop in Adliswil near Zurich next week.

How to Release Lower Energies https://archive.palmyhealing.com/how-to-release-lower-energies/ https://archive.palmyhealing.com/how-to-release-lower-energies/#respond Thu, 28 May 2015 08:30:15 +0000 http://palmyhealing.com/?p=12725

Everyday we are surrounded by lower energies, that has an effect on our well-being. Some neat techniques will help you to release lower energies so you can stay in your true essence and remain calm and relaxed more easily.

The post How to Release Lower Energies appeared first on Palmy Healing Archives.

]]>

Each of us comes into contact with many different kinds of energy each and every day. Some energies we encounter are uplifting while others are draining.

Cleansing your energy system daily is as important as taking a shower to cleanse your physical body. Washing away, cleansing, and releasing your energy body of all forms of lower energy is essential to your well being, and continuing growth.

There are so many possibilities to release lower energies, and I will go into several that I find most healing.

Walk in Nature

Nature vibrates at an extremely high level – it is clean, pure energy. Indulging in that lovely energy daily is healing, relaxing, and releasing.

beautiful walk in nature, surrounded by green fields, trees, and maybe even a source of water, like a stream, river, or lake is awesome for your soul. The colours soothe your eyes and nourish your well-being.

In nature, you are able to connect with the Universe, the Angels, and all the love around you. You will relax and automatically release all kind of stress or negativity.

Breathing in the fresh air restores you, and you are able to heal on all levels.

Go out into nature daily. If you live in a big city that doesn’t have any nature areas, go to a park, or just sit near a tree.

Trees

Trees are amazing healers. They carry old wisdom and change lower energy into higher energy, in the same way they give oxygen by transmuting the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

If you can, stand next to a tree. Imagine that you are like a tree, with roots growing out of the soles of your feet – those roots connect with Mother Gaia (Earth) and the ancient wisdom of the trees.

Imagine how your roots allow you to let go of everything that burdens you. Breathe in the wisdom, the calm, and the power of the tree you are standing next to and the earth that you are rooted into.

You can also embrace a tree and rest your forehead on its bark. It is easy to connect with the love and healing that are contained within the tree that way. Hugging trees also helps to calm your brain and soothe your thinking.

Then hold your arms up and gently sway in the wind. Ask for flexibility. Imagine being deeply rooted and stable – but still flexible – so you won’t break in the wind.

Be like a tree: stand tall and proud.

Flowers

People often send flowers to loved ones when they are in hospital because they are such wonderful healing tools.

Flowers cheer people up instantly.

Connecting with flowers opens you to the energy of the Universe and allows the Angels to work with you.

So whenever you see a flower or a tree in bloom, stop, look at it, smell the flower, and just be still for a moment.

Allow the healing of the flower to go through you… releasing, healing, and lifting you up.

It is also good to have some fresh flowers in your home, as it lifts your energy and keeps a soothing calm environment. Of course, flowers are also associated with the Angels, and represent their loving and healing energy.

Grounding

You may feel stressed because you have too many things to do, so it is essential for you to come back to your roots – to just be calm for a bit and reconnect with who you truly are.

Go walk barefoot on grass or moss, and simply enjoy the tingly feeling between your toes. Let the cool energy of the earth soothe you. Breathe it all in through the soles of your feet, and just be.

Stand with your feet apart – tall and proud – and gain some of the strength and security that comes to you through your direct connection with the earth.

Breathe in deeply and release when you exhale.

You can learn more about grounding in my blog post Grounding is Essential.

Salt Baths

Salt baths are very healing, and also deeply cleansing and releasing.

I have written a blog post on salt baths. You can read more here if you’d like to find out more about them.

Breathing

Whenever you are stressed or burdened, you may forget to breathe down into your belly. Often, you will breathe just into your chest, not allowing the breath to reach the lower chakras and your entire energy system.

So it is essential to concentrate on breathing. Put the palms of your hands on your lower belly – below your navel – and concentrate on breathing into your hands. Expand your belly (even if your mother taught you to keep your belly in). This way you can relax and release. This is called conscious breathing.

Breathe consciously at least three times a day, and more often if you feel stressed or tired.

Bringing fresh oxygen into your body by consciously breathing is important as you may drain your system of important oxygen if you don’t breathe deeply.

Shielding

Shielding ourselves from lower and harsh energies is essential for blocking lower energies from draining you. You can read more about shielding in my blog post here.

Water

It is necessary to drink plenty of water daily to flush out what you no longer need in your system. Your body needs to detox and heal from the inside out as well.

Fresh, clear water is an essential source of your well-being.

Your body consists of 75% water, so you need to make sure to keep hydrated and bring in fresh clear, pure water daily. Like exhaling removes toxins from your system, flushing your system with plenty of water helps you to flush lower energy out of your body.

16waystorelease

Sun Bathing

The sun can help you to heal and release – it can burn away lower energy and release you from everything that weighs you down.

(Of course, you need to be mindful about exposure and adhere to your own skin tone. Only spend the appropriate amount of time in the sun.)

The solar plexus (situated below your rib cage and above your navel) is the centre where you store lower emotions. That chakra can easily become blocked up with pain, hurt, guilt, unforgiveness, and other lower emotions.

Whenever the sun is shining, you should try to sit outside for at least 10 minutes, letting the sun burn away all lower energies. Also, if you can, bare your belly (I do), and let the sun shine directly on your solar plexus while you take deep breaths and release all lower and stuck emotions.

This is a very healing and soothing procedure.

Enjoy the sun and let it burn away anything that no longer serves you.

Meditate

Meditation is a time to relax and release. During meditation, you are open to receiving guidance from the Universe. Meditation is a time to connect with the Angels and listen for their messages.

If you are new to meditation, you can just take some time daily to sit still and concentrate on your breathing and try to just be.

Alternatively, you can listen to a guided meditation. Guided meditations can be very soothing and releasing, as well as healing.

You can find a couple of guided Meditation that can help you along on my Healing Shop.

You can even join a meditation group, or try to find a Meditation with the Angels near you. Personally, I hold a Meditation evening near Zurich on a monthly basis. You can find out more about it on my Events page here.

Naps

I know you are not a baby anymore, but still, naps can be so restorative, healing, and releasing. Naptime is a time to let go of your issues and relax.

Taking a nap helps you to shut down and leaves your mind at peace, so you can connect to your own inner truth and are more able to listen to guidance from the Angels. Sometimes napping allows time for lucid dreaming and being very close to Angelic wisdom. I often get great inspiration during my naps.

Whenever you feel tired, allow yourself to take a nap, it will probably help you. After your nap, you will likely feel more productive and refreshed.

Release it all during a nap.

Detox

Detoxing is also a helpful tool to release lower energies, especially if you approach your detox in a holistic way. When detoxing, it is also necessary to work with your emotions and thought patterns – not only your body.

Think of a detox as a flushing out of your energy system, where you learn to concentrate on the good, positive, and loving.

Observe your self-talk and your thoughts, and readjust if necessary. Think only positive thoughts. Release all others.

Concentrate on good feelings. Learn to be grateful for what you have, and expand that feeling in your heart, while releasing all negative emotions.

Please note that it is absolutely normal to have negative thoughts and emotions – we are all human. When you focus on detoxing your thoughts, though, it’s important to stop talking yourself down or punishing yourself for not being perfect. Just observe, cleanse away negativity, and concentrate on positivity.

Doreen Virtue and Robert Reeves have written a beautiful book on this topic, ‘Detoxing with the Angels.’ You can find it here on Amazon.

Exercise and Movement

Shake your body, move around, dance, and be wild. Get your energy flowing – this way old and stuck energy gets released.

Find some sort of movement that you love to do. Remember that even a walk is enough, or perhaps dancing for 5 minutes in the privacy of your home might be all you need.

Yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong and Tai Chi are lovely practices that can also help you connect to yourself. If you have been curious about any of them, you may want to find a YouTube video or check out a class.

Cutting Cords

Cut the energetic cords to all lower energies with the help of the Angels. You can read about this in my last blog post here.

Open Up to Creativity

I always thought I was not a creative person. I can’t draw. I can’t paint. That was till I learnt that creativity expands way beyond the arts.

You can be creative by singing, taking photos, writing, doing arts and crafts, or arranging flowers, among other things. Those are all creative pursuits. Even writing blog posts is an outlet.

I have let go of fear of not being good and just grabbed a box of crayons, started doodling, and I was extremely happy with the outcome.

What I’ve learnt about being creative is that you should

.

Being creative is being in the flow of life. So find something that you love to do – maybe dancing, expressing yourself through movement, singing along, or creating your own tunes. Just go out there and do it.

You might also try creating a vision board focused on how you want your life to be. Get some pictures from the internet and a big piece of paper and make your very own “perfect life” collage.

Being creative unblocks the throat chakra, and also helps with speaking and standing up for yourself. So go try it out.

I can tell from my own experience that being creative is amazing, and that I love being creative. Remember, too, that what you do is for yourself; you never have to show your creations to anyone if you don’t want to.

Self-Acceptance

If you are not happy with whom you are, you are vibrating at a lower energy level. Releasing all blocks to self-acceptance and all hindrances to self-love is very freeing and liberating.

Release all thoughts of comparison and need for perfection. By accepting who you truly are, you free up blocked energy and get back into the flow of love.

Improve the way you feel about yourself, join me on a 7 Day Nurturing Self Love Journey.

Please feel free to explore the above-mentioned releasing tools and be open to finding your own techniques too.

I am always happy to hear about your experiences. Please leave a comment and help us all along the path.

Warm hugs,
Caroline
